ACM Nominees Entertainer Of The Year Overview: Blake Shelton

What happens in Vegas can be pretty funny!
Blake and Reba hosted last year's ACMs...and CBS and the Academy are having them back to host this year! That's reason enough to watch, right? (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Making out onstage!
Ok, not exactly. But Blake greets his wife Miranda Lambert with a big kiss during the taping of the ACM's "Girls' Night Out: Superstar Women Of Country", two days after the ACM Award broadcast. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Gettin' his licks in
After years of up-and-down success, Blake's hit his stride with a series of #1 hits dating back to "Hillbilly Bone", his duet with Trace Adkins in 2009. (Photo by Rick Diamond/Getty Images)

Working the crowd
Blake delights the crowd at The 2011 Country Stampede in Manhattan, Kansas. FYI...Glen Campbell did a song called 'Manhattan, Kansas" 40 years ago. Earlier this year, Blake joined Glen onstage at the GRAMMYs as part of an all-star salute to Campbell's 50-year career. This is better than playing "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"! Hey, wait a minute...FOOTLOOSE! But that'll come later in our gallery. :) (Photo by Rick Diamond/Getty Images)

Getting up close with fans
Blake's always made himself accessible to both fans and media...it's a quality for which he's been long admired. Good to see it paying off now as his career reaches new heights. This photo was also taken at the Country Stampede in Manhattan, Kansas. (Photo by Rick Diamond/Getty Images)

What is THAT!?
The inscription reads "Live, Love and Laugh. Congratulations Blake and Miranda". We don't know anything else about the, uh, honor...which looks to be a really late wedding present, perhaps? It was given to Blake at the "Honey Bee" #1 party. (Photo by Rick Diamond/Getty Images for BMI)

Remaking an 80's Classic
October 6th, Nashville: Actors Miles Teller, Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough join Blake at the Nashville advance screening of "Footloose". Blake rerecorded Kenny Loggins' iconic 1984 Top 40 hit for the remake. (Photo by Rick Diamond/Getty Images for Paramount)

Trying out the chair!
Blake greatly increased his visibility outside Country Music by becoming one of the judges for NBC's talent competition "The Voice". The network and producers were so pleased with Blake's performance they asked him to return for the 2012 season. At a Pre-GRAMMY evening with Clive Davis
Taken at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This one's a little spooky...because upstairs in Suite 434, Whitney Houston had died that very day. Clive Davis, whose career as a music industry icon dates back six decades, gave Whitney her start, and is currently Chief Creative Officer for Miranda Lambert's label, Sony Music. Davis announced Whitney's passing as the gathering began, and the evening turned into a remembrance of Whitney's career. Here, Tom Hanks is pictured with Blake and Miranda. Going GaGa
That's Stefani Germanotta at left. You know her better as Lady GaGa. Last year she arrived at the GRAMMYs in an egg. No, really. This year she's sitting next to Blake and Miranda...and yes they did get to know one another that night. (Photo by Larry Busacca/Getty Images For The Recording Academy)

Southern (California) Nights
To have listened to radio in 1977 was to know that #1 song by Glen Campbell. At this year's GRAMMYs, Blake, Glen and The Band Perry performed together onstage as part of the all-star salute to Glen's 50-plus year career. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images)

Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Men And Women Of 2012 in New York City
...and Blake and Miranda were there. Between Blake's outrageous tweets and other antics...and Miranda's no-holes-barred style...I'd say they qualify for "Fearless" status, right? (Photo by Theo Wargo/Getty Images)

Best year ever!
Blake and Miranda were married on May 11th of last year. Miranda released a new album in the fall and continued her work with Country group Pistol Annies...while Blake continued to rack up #1 songs and reprised his role on NBC's "The Voice". It hasn't been all great: Blake's father passed away January 17th after a long period of declining health.
We hope you'll be watching KDKA-TV Sunday Night to see Blake join Reba McEntire hosting the Academy of Country Music Awards...and also see how many awards Blake Shelton wins himself! (Photo by Theo Wargo/Getty Images) -
