FB Niffler English Nifflers From Fantastic Beasts Are Real, Sort Of

This is sure to bring a smile to the faces of no-maj’s around the world.

One of the creatures that Newt Scamander carries in his leather, luggage-style case in the movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is kind of real.

According to CNN, an Australian zoo now houses baby Puggles which “are baby short-beaked echidnas, a species of spiny anteater.”

‘Fantastic Beasts’ fans will recognize Puggles as being very similar to the Niffler in the movie.

The Pottermore website describes Nifflers as “fluffy, black and long-snouted, this burrowing creature has a predilection for anything glittery.”
