Ally and Andy started off this week’s talk with Stephon Tuitt by congratulating him on another awesome performance/win against the New York Jets on Sunday and asked him about the increased blitzing that they are doing and asked if it was intentional.
“We’re just putting pressure on the quarterback and making them throw the ball a little bit faster,” said Tuitt.
Andy asked him what he was doing personally to change his game to be able to pressure the QB’s more and he said, “I just know that I am a very big, powerful, fast man.” He said, “My job is to push and put pressure and put the guard, basically in the quarterback’s lap.”
They about what will happen if Cam Hayward is out for a long period of time, “He’s a leader on our team, the leader on the defense and the presence of his voice will be missed for the time being, but I don’t think he’ll ever be gone. He’s still going to be there no matter what.” For Stephon, he said that means he has to step up his game to keep everybody moving until Cam gets back.
Looking ahead to Miami this weekend, Stephon said “We’re gonna have a great week at practice. I always say every time I come here, our practice is very important. How we practice determines how we’re going to go into the game each weekend.”
With all of the football talk out of the way, Ally & Andy had a chance to ask Stephon about the video of him and Cam using Uber’s self-driving car. “We got a chance, me and Cam, to get inside and see how the car works, make the people of Pittsburgh a little more confortable to get inside a self-driving Uber.”
He said they “Drove around Pittsburgh, you know the roads of Pittsburgh – the potholes and everything – if it’s able to drive here, it’s basically able to drive anywhere.”
Stephon joked that they wanted to test the maximum capacity weight limit because he said he and Cam combined are about 600lbs.
Tuitt Tuesday with Ally & Andy is presented Beaver County Dodge Chrylser Jeep Ram Nissan.
