At the age of 18, Brandon Rumbaugh knew what he wanted to do with his life and joined the United States Marines.
After finishing boot camp in February of 2008, Brandon went to the Infantry Training Battalion. Following that he was assigned to the 1st Battalion 8th Marines as an 81mm mortarman. In March 2009 Brandon was deployed Afghanistan as a squad leader.
Brandon suffered multiple injuries due to IED explosions during his second tour in Afghanistan.
After nearly two years of extensive medical therapy at Walter Reed, Brandon returned to his hometown of Uniontown, PA. After five years of active duty, Brandon is now committed to serving his community through cahritable works and inspiring others with his motivational story of perseverance, loyalty and faith.
