It’s always nice to end things on a high note, but unfortunately Miranda Lambert won’t even be able to end things on a note. A doctor has placed her on immediate vocal rest.
As a result, she’s canceled the last three shows of her Keeper of the Flame tour. Lambert was scheduled to play those shows across Texas in Corpus Christi, Austin and San Antonio between September 15-17, but will instead be focusing on her health. It doesn’t seem like she’ll be rescheduling them for a later date. Ticketholders will receive a refund by contacting the site where they first purchased tickets.
Although vocal rest generally doesn’t signal anything more serious than a bit of recovery after overuse, it’s safe to say Lambert has been busy this summer. It’s no wonder her voice might need a few days to recover between her massive tour, her new music video, and all the awards show performances she’s done, including her appearance at the 10th Annual ACM Honors in late August.
With a little rest, hopefully she’s back on her feet and looking for new “vices” soon.
