Ally & Andy American Warrior: Heith Eckenrode

This week’s American Warrior is Heith Eckenrode.

Heith joined the Army Reserves in 2000 when he was 17 as an Administrative Specialist in the 402nd Quartermaster Battalion.

He deployed to Al Qayyarah, Iraq in 2005 as an Administrative Specialist and also a Truck Driver with the 828th Quartermaster Company.

After 14 years in the Reserves, and attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, Heith decided not to reenlist.

Shortly after coming home from Iraq he started a career with the Federal Government working as a Military Technician in the Army Reserves. He still works in the Federal Government but with a different agency known as OPM, or the Office of Personnel Management.

Heith says his enlistment in the Army Reserves has given him many opportunities and he will always cherish the friends he made, and time that he served.

Heith has been married to his wife, Jen, for 7 years and live in Slippery Rock. They have 2 children, a son, Jordan, who is 5, and a daughter, Emilia, who is 3. Jordan just started Kindergarten and Emilia just started Pre School.
