Scott Ward lived in Michigan until about 6 years of age when he and his family moved to Pennsylvania. He grew up and attended school in Mt. Pleasant.
With his parents consent at age seventeen he join the Army National Guard as an Intelligence Analyst. Scott attended basic training at Fort Jackson, SC and then headed back to Mt. Pleasant to finish out his senior year of high school. Once the school year was over Scott went to Fort Huachuca, AZ for six more months of training.
Towards the end of his enlistment Scott volunteered to be deployed to Afghanistan right before moving back to Michigan.
While deployed he was an operator in fixed wing aircraft doing areal surveillance and operations. Scott’s deployment was a year long and while he was thankful for the values the Army taught him and the life experiences he had, he decided not to renew his enlistment and spend time with his growing family when he arrived home.
Now Scott has been happily married for seven years with a six year old daughter and another one the way.
