After taking a brief hiatus, Lady Antebellum will be back on the road this summer. But before they launch their tour, the group will first be making a stop at the 2016 Kentucky Derby. Lady Antebellum took a brief hiatus following their most recent tour, which wrapped up in October 2015. The group said they needed a breather, and wanted to take some time to write new music their new album.
During that hiatus, however, Charles Kelly didn’t take much of a break. Not only did he release his solo debut album The Driver, but he and his wife welcomed their first child into the world. Hillary Scott, meanwhile, also used the time to begin work on a new gospel-focused album.
Following their appearance at the Kentucky Derby, Lady Antebellum will kick off their summer tour beginning at Baton Rouge’s Bayou Country Super Fest on May 27th. Although they won’t be playing a ton of shows, their tour lasts through August, and fans can find tickets at their website.
