Ally & Andy Interview with Trace Adkins

While in Las Vegas for the 51st ACM Awards, Ally & Andy caught up with one of country music’s biggest stars, Trace Adkins.

While he’s sold over 10 million albums, there’s more to Trace than just country music, “I do some movies, do a lot of voice-over stuff…got a farm, got a bunch of kids. Yeah, I got other stuff keeping me busy.”

In addition to all he has going on, Trace makes time to support the men & women of our military. “It’s a privelage, you know and I tell people that all the time when they ask me why I do so much stuff with the veterans and the military,” said Adkins. “It’s because if you get a chance to associate with and hang out with heroes, you should try to do that because maybe some of that will rub off on you.”

So what happens in Vegas when Trace is in town? “I’m pretty boring when I come to Vegas,” he said. “I used to gamble a lot, but then eventually I guess I just grew out of it. I just got tired if coming to Vegas and giving them a lot of money and leaving.”

Trace Adkins’ new song “Jesus and Jones” is out now and he has a new album coming this year, which he says will be released somewhere towards the end of summer.

Trace Adkins is coming to Pittsburgh on April 27 for the 2016 Cattle Baron’s Ball Wine and boots Bash at the Pittsburgh Opera House in the Strip District. Tickets are on sale now.
