The 27th GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles were always going to be a star-studded affair with presenters and honorees like Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and Ruby Rose. When Rose was set to collect her Stephen F. Kolzak Award for LGBT visibility and advocacy, a very surprise guest took to the stage to pay tribute: Taylor Swift.
“Tonight I’m here to honor someone, who through her words and through her actions, proves that she is a force of nature. She tells the world that no one can judge us and no one can stop us,” Swift said of the Orange is the New Black and social media phenomenon. “She is a woman of many talents. She is my friend.”
After the show, Rose posted a collage of the moment to Instagram with a sweet message: “The true story of how one ‘sometimes girl’ ( me ) was surprised and brought to tears by a surprise ‘always amazing and giving’ girl @taylorswift.”

"I don't know.. I am really hot but also I don't think I can have you hold my coat" ... 😭😂😍
