To celebrate Glen Campbell‘s 80th birthday, Nashville’s City Winery will host a special concert event. Jimmy Webb: The Glen Campbell Years is the national touring show of songwriter Jimmy Webb who penned “By the Time I Get to Phoenix” and “Wichita Lineman” for the country icon. For this performance, Webb will joined by three of Glen’s children: Ashley, Shannon and Cal.
“I created this show to honor my friend and collaborator,” Webb said. “Now I am very happy to be performing it in Nashville, home of so many good friends, to help celebrate Glen’s 80th birthday. I know that Glen would want us to concentrate on having a good time and enjoying the music. Ashley, Shannon and Cal are tremendous musicians, they take after their dad. I am glad to have them as part of this one-night only performance.”
Campbell’s 80th birthday is April 22. The show will take place May 3 at 7pm at City Winery. Tickets range from $40-$60 and are available here.
