Taylor Swift will perform at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, TX, come October. Her concert will take place following Saturday’s qualifying rounds on October 22nd.
Speaking with The Guardian, Circuit of the Americas president Bobby Epstein said, “We had to make it financially irresistible to [Swift], but it is our fifth-year celebration and we have reason to celebrate and sometimes you spend a little bit on special occasions.” No doubt, that fee will go towards her status as the eighth highest-paid celebrity in the world, according to Forbes. She raked in a a cool $80 million in 2015 alone.
Rumors are circulating that her appearance could coincide with new music, since she’s followed a strong ‘every two years’ course when it comes to dropping her albums (via SPIN). Swift released 1989 in October 2014; she released Red two years prior in 2012.
The 2016 U.S. Grand Prix will take place October 21-23.
