To the surprise of many fans, Carrie Underwood was a guest this weekend on the Talking Dead, a talk show that focuses on AMC’s The Walking Dead. During her appearance, she expressed not only her love for the apocalyptic show, but she revealed her own readiness to survive a Zombie attack.
“I know what you’re thinking, but I was born to survive the zombie apocalypse,” she told host Chris Hardwick. “My husband bought me this zombie-survival kit for Christmas. I have a machete, I know how to use it. My songs are quite aggressive at times. I’m not afraid. I would know what to do. I was born for this.”
She also admitted that in the case of a Zombie apocalypse, she’d want Luke Bryan on her team. Bryan quickly announced he was on board, posting the following picture to Twitter:

Underwood went on to admit that Maggie, played by Lauren Cohan, is the Walking Dead character she most relates to, explaining, “I love Maggie because I feel like we’re both like farm girls. Grew up in the country. We know how to handle ourselves outdoors. But she’s also got a softer side and she’s smart.”
