Kip Moore released the music video for his single “Running For You.”
In the cinematic music video full of lush shots and muted colors, a heartbroken Moore sacrifices his relationship in order to let his girlfriend pursue her dance dreams. In between shots of Moore singing on a foggy street, the music video tells the story of their time together before she leaves him behind to attend a big audition. When she gets overwhelmed in the spotlight, though, she goes running to find Moore, who has taken solace in the woods.

Funnily enough, Moore asked his friend PJ Brown to direct the video despite the fact that Brown had never directed a music video before. Explaining his decision, Moore stated in the press release, “I’ve been friends with PJ for years, he was the main one pushing me to chase my passion and move to Nashville.”
He continued, “He’s been able to document some of my concerts here and there, but we haven’t worked together on this level before. This song is unlike other songs I’ve released before and so I wanted the video to be really different from any of my other videos. PJ was able to bring our vision to life and I’m glad that the label let me take a chance on him.”
Up next, Moore will open for Miranda Lambert over a series of shows when she goes on tour later this year.
