Dierks Bentley Replaces Blake Shelton as Luke Bryan’s ACM Co-Host

By Erin Duvall

After four years co-hosting the ACM Awards, Blake Shelton is hanging up his hat. He spent the first two years trading jokes with Reba McEntire and the last two opposite Luke Bryan. Bryan broke the news in the Entertainment Tonight clip below.

“I’ll tell ya what I really need,” Bryan says to a heard-but-not-seen bartender,”a new co-host for the ACM Awards. Somebody that loves country music, somebody that I’m a little better lookin’ than — kinda like last year. [Somebody] who wants to dance, sing, party in Vegas. There’s gotta be somebody out there.”

The bartender has a familiar voice that country fans will recognize as Dierks Bentley and references the singer-songwriter’s “Tip it On Back.”

Luke made the official video announcement on his Facebook page.
