According to The Boot, Sweet broke a bone in his right hand when he was at home packing for the ACM Awards. The singer and guitar player hit his hand on a wooden door and at the time didn’t realize how bad the injury was.

“I’ve never had a broken bone in my whole life so I didn’t know what it felt like,” he said.

Sweet said he has to wear a brace on his broken hand while he’s not performing but he can still play the guitar in the meantime.
