When Krystal Keith got married, she had a big surprise waiting for her country superstar dad. Krystal had secretly recorded her own father-daughter dance song, called “Daddy Dance With Me”. Proud papa Toby Keith is said to have shed a few tears as they danced to this song at the wedding reception.

In crafting this heartfelt song with Mica Roberts and Sonya Rutledge, Krystal shared childhood memories that became part of the lyrics:

“I know what you see / when you look at me /as we walk down the aisle

Little pink tutu / bows and tennis shoes / and the wide eyes of your child

Those are all the memories / you’ll cherish and you’ll carry / no matter how much time has come and gone

Daddy dance with me / I want you to see the woman I’ve become

Daddy don’t let go / I want you to know I’ll always need your love

Today I became his wife / but I’ll be your baby girl for life”

The song’s available on iTunes, and on Krystal’s self-titled, four-song EP, in stores now. It will also be on her debut CD, Whiskey & Lace, due later in 2013.
