Actor Chi McBride stars in the new CBS police drama “Golden Boy”, Tuesdays at 10PM. Jimmy and Monty asked Chi (pronounced “Shy”), who grew up in Chicago, if he ever had to call the police for help?

“When I was shooting the pilot (for “Golden Boy”), I was living in Jersey. My car was broken into at the hotel where I was at, and I had to call the coppers for that. I love the cops, man. Who else you gonna call when the crooks come around?”

And what about all the detective’s notes Chi’s character takes when he’s interviewing witnesses? What’s he really writing down in his notebook?  ”Scribble-scrabble” admits Chi. “If you saw my notes, you’d be, like, ‘What in the hell is this?’”
