Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” leads the Oscar race with 12 nominations, including best picture, director and acting nods for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones.

Also in the running for best picture are the old age love story “Amour”; the Iran hostage drama “Argo”;  “Beasts of the Southern Wild”; Tarantino’s “Django Unchained”; the lengthy musical “Les Miserables”; the kid-lit book “Life of Pi”; the dramatic romance “Silver Linings Playbook”; and the Osama bin Laden hunt dramatization “Zero Dark Thirty.”

“Lincoln” actor Daniel Day-Lewis in vying for best-actor against Bradley Cooper in “Silver Linings Playbook”; Hugh Jackman in “Les Miserables”; Joaquin Phoenix in “The Master”; and Denzel Washington in “Flight.”

The best actress race features Jessica Chastain  in “Zero Dark Thirty”; Jennifer Lawrence  in “Silver Linings Playbook”; Emmanuelle Riva in “Amour”; Quvenzhane Wallis in “Beasts of the Southern Wild”; and Naomi Watts in “The Impossible.”

Supporting-actress nominees are Sally Field in “Lincoln”, Amy Adams in “The Master”; Helen Hunt in “The Sessions”; Anne Hathaway in “Les Miserables”; and Jacki Weaver in “Silver Linings Playbook.”

Tommy Lee Jones is up for best supporting-actor against “Argo” star Alan Arkin; Robert De Niro in “Silver Linings Playbook”; Philip Seymour Hoffman in “The Master”; and Christoph Waltz  in “Django Unchained.”

The 85th Oscars are live from Hollywood on February 24.
