Admit it.  You’ve been stuck in traffic while listening to your favorite country radio station when all of the sudden it happens… that one song you can’t get out of your head comes over your speakers.  Suddenly you can’t help but immediately turn it up way more than it needs to be and you’re screaming the words at the top of your lungs while the minivan next to you eyes you confusingly.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone.  We’ve all been there especially with these 10 songs that fired up the country charts in 2012.

Which song do you find yourself singing the most?

1.  Taylor Swift – “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”

While the song has more of a pop flair than most of hers, you can’t deny it’s super catchy.  Have you caught yourself doing the “weeEEE” part?  We have!

2.  Jana Kramer- “Why Ya Wanna”

This One Tree Hill actress made her way to the country scene this year and thank goodness for that.  She was even nominated for three ACM awards and this jam peaked at #3 on the country charts.

3.  Dierks Bentley – “5-1-5-0″

Who doesn’t like a love song that makes your foot tap?  If you didn’t know 5-1-5-0 was a police code, you do now!  In fact, it’s a code to tell other officers that someone is criminally insane, to which Dierks uses as a way to describe how a girl makes him insane for love!

4.  Little Big Town – “Pontoon”

Whether you own a boat or not, chances are this song was on blast in your car sometime this year.  After having kept quiet on the music scene for a bit, Little Big Town brought this song with a splash, no pun intended.

5. Carrie Underwood – “Good Girl”

The American Idol winner and country superstar released her highly acclaimed album Blown Away this year and the lead single really brought back the basis of what we love about Carrie… her take-no-prisoners sassy attitude.

6.  Kip Moore - “Somethin’ Bout A Truck”

It seems like Kip Moore came out of nowhere!  Lots of radio folks saw him play CRS this year and all left with the same thought: this kid is going somewhere!  This song sat comfortably at #1 on the country charts and even broke top 30 in the Billboard Hot 100.

7.  Love & Theft – “Angel Eyes”

Another number one this year on the charts is Love & Theft’s “Angel Eyes”.  Though it’s a little slower than other tracks, you can’t help but blast it everywhere you go.

8.  Luke Bryan – “Drunk On You”

I mean, hello! It’s Luke Bryan!  He could sing the alphabet song while playing the spoons and we’d love it.

9.  Rascal Flatts – “Banjo”

With eight albums under their belt, it’s no surprise Rascal Flatts is pretty much the kings when it comes to catchy singles to put on the radio and this song is no different.

10.  Blake Shelton – “Drink On It”

We almost forgot about this Blake Shelton hit since it was released the first week of 2012 but this song was definitely a favorite of the year.
