Only last month Chris Young kicked off his Liquid Neon Tour. Now he’s had to postpone some of the shows, as his doctor has placed him on vocal rest.
As he noted in a statement on his website, the rest period currently runs through this coming weekend, so he has had to postpone three shows: Dec. 6 in Huntsville, Alabama; Dec. 7 in Savannah, Georgia; and Dec. 8 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was scheduled to perform these dates with his Liquid Neon tourmates Thomas Rhett and Joanna Smith.
“I hate to disappoint everybody but my voice is pretty ragged out,” Chris is quoted as saying. “Thanks for understanding and I look forward to seeing y’all next year.”
Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored at the make-up dates. And for those unable to attend the rescheduled dates, refunds will be available.
Chris, however, is still currently scheduled to perform dates he has scheduled at a National Finals Rodeo event in Las Vegas on Dec. 11, at at Houston station KILT’s Ten Man Jam on Dec. 12.
Chris is also still scheduled to present during tonight’s live broadcast of the GRAMMY Nominations Concert on CBS (10pm ET/9pm CT).
Chris will then resume his Liquid Neon Tour in 2013.
