If you bumped into Brad Paisley in a store, would you know it was him? If you are Twilight actor Robert Pattinson, the answer is no.

Pattinson was in Nashville recently and decided to do a little shopping in Gruhn’s Guitars, one of Nashville’s best known guitar shops. Country star Brad Paisley just happened to be there, too.

“I went to the special room upstairs,” said Pattinson during interview with TV host Jimmy Fallon, as quoted by Hollywood.com. “There was a guy there in a baseball cap and he was just playing guitars. He was kinda one of those guitar people who just seem really impressive, but he just seemed like a normal guy and was really sweet.”

When Paisley gave him guitar tips and offered to help him pick out an instrument, he had no idea he was getting advice from one of country’s most famous artists.

“Every single time I touched a guitar [the employees] were like, ‘Do you want Brad to just play it?’ I was like, ‘Well … ‘ I just thought it was a guy who worked there.”

Besides giving out free music advice, Paisley also played a few chords with him before he left.

“I just had no idea who he was,” added Pattinson. “I bought a couple little instruments and that was that.”

This revelation was definitely a surprise to Pattinson. And while he didn’t know it was Brad Paisley until after the fact, maybe Paisley didn’t know he was helping a famous actor, either?
