There have been shows about New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and even Miami. But this year, the world got a glimpse into the world of country superstars in the new hit series Nashville.
But as soon as the first episode aired and viewers got a glimpse at Panettiere’s conniving character Juliette Barnes, country fans began to wonder if the comparison was accurate.
Earlier this month, Hayden had told USA Today about her love for Carrie. “She’s one of those girls that doesn’t do the whole dancing-around-choreography thing but has that stage presence like no other,” Hayden said of Carrie.”She can just stand there and be incredibly interesting.”
So what did Carrie have to say to being compared to such a character as Nashville‘s Juliette Barnes?
“She definitely is sparkles and has the big blonde hair going on,” Carrie laughs, so she says that’s “pretty accurate.” She’s also, however, quick to address the character’s more outrageous aspects.
“As long as she says she patterns her look after me, and not a lot about the rest of the character,” the singer jokes, before adding, “She’s kind of the mean girl!”
Hayden, for her part, has been quick to defend her character on Twitter, saying that Juliette may not actually–as the story develops–turn out to be as “mean” as viewers initially think.
I know my character seems….nasty, but there’s always a story behind it ; )
