Eric Church tells Y108′s Jimmy and Monty about his favorite songs to perform live in concert.
“It moves around on me a little bit, it’s funny how that changes, depending on how the band and I are doin’ at the time, or what the crowd is really relating to.”
“For me right now, it’s one of two moments.” says Eric. “It’s either “Jack Daniels”, which is always a big moment live, or it’s “Springsteen”… People, it’s almost like they’re waitin’ on that one all night. When we get to it, they rip the roof off the place.”
Eric admits his live show borrows heavily from KISS concerts. “Yeah, we blow stuff up. I’m from kind of a little bit the old school rock n’ roll. Man, I remember those old shows, y’know, that I used to go to. I LOVE seeing stuff caught on fire and blew up and all up in your face. I like those shows, I like the agressive nature of ‘em. And that’s very much our show. It’s very nose-to-nose to the audience, and… I like that.”
Y108 welcomes Eric Church with Justin Moore and Kip Moore to Consol Energy Center on Saturday, September 15, 2012. Get ticket info here!
