Singer Randy Travis was arrested late last night in North Texas on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The country singer apparently crashed his Trans Am in a construction zone near Tioga, Texas. It was the only vehicle damaged, and Travis suffered cuts and bruises.

Travis was found lying on the road…and he was naked the the time.

To make a terrible situation even worse, Travis allegedly refused a breath test, then proceeded to threaten the arresting officers–which led to further charges.

“Travis had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and several signs of intoxication,” according to a statement from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office. “While Travis was being transported, Travis made threats to shoot and kill the troopers working the case.”

Travis was released this morning after posting bail of $21,500 and shown walking to a truck wearing scrubs.

This makes the second alcohol-related arrest for the hit country singer this year alone–in February he was arrested in nearby Sanger, Texas for public intoxication.
