We’ve had two of the biggest lovers of Pittsburgh here within a month of each other this summer, Kenny Chesney in June and Toby Keith just last Friday. And when Toby visits it’s like being with family. So up on Toby’s bus, he and I picked up where we left off last summer…

Toby is as humble a superstar as you’ll ever talk with but I think he got thrown for a bit of a loop when I compared him to another idol of mine and somebody who’s music will live through the ages.

You wouldn’t expect it but just before you go onstage at First Niagara Pavilion there is a plaque with Toby Keith’s name and picture on it.

Here We Go!
As I said Toby loves Pittsburgh but Toby REALLY loves the Pittsburgh Steelers and the cool thing is he makes no bones about it. He and I have talked Steeler football in Las Vegas at the ACM’s, at his label in Nashville and whenever we can on his bus. Like us all, he doesn’t seem convinced of the new changes..yet.
