Edward Bielick hadn’t been back home to Harrison City in two years.

This Penn Trafford High School grad has been serving in the United States Air Force at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan.

Ed and Lynsee and their 9-month old baby were finally able to fly home (the flight was over 20 hours long!) to visit with family and friends.

Ed’s was also very excited to go to First Niagara Pavilion to see his first Toby Keith show ever (Friday, July 27, 2012).

What Ed didn’t know is that his wife Lynsee had contacted Y108 to arrange a huge surprise for him. While he was recording a  Y108 Soldier Salute at our studios, Jimmy and Monty revealed to Edward that Toby would be waiting to meet him backstage at First Niagara Pavilion!

Ed had a great time at the show, was thrilled to me Toby. Ed’s meeting with Toby has also been highlighted by Trib Total Media here.
