Zac Brown explains to Y108′s Jimmy and Monty why Pittsburgh’s country fans are so inspiring.
“Man, you know, the football fans… I mean, I grew up on playing football, I played football eleven years” recalls Zac. “An’ there’s a few cities around the United States where the fans carry their entire team, they carry their …whole city. And it’s the same way with the music there, when we play (in Pittsburgh), those fans, you know, elevate us up off of that stage. You can definitely tell there’s certain cities where you get that. You feel it. Pittsburgh is one of those places.”
Zac knows his band is special, too. “I couldn’t be more proud of the collection of musicians that I get to play with, and that I get to you know write and arrange our records with, and we really create something that’s unique. And we really got our sound, and, you know, that means a lot. You put a lot of hard work and years workin’ into the chemistry that actually makes a band. There just aren’t a lot of them out there, and we’re proud to be one.”
The new Zac Brown Band CD, “The Wind” is in stores now. Catch Zac with Y108 at First Niagara Pavilion, July 15th, 2012.
