He may sing “Wanna Make You Love Me”, but Curb Records artist Andy Gibson was certainly no Romeo during his first kiss.

“I was sixteen years old,” Andy tells Y108′s Jimmy and Monty.“It was a girl named Theresa Palmer, and her sisters got me to go out with her (sixteenth) birthday.”

“I was too shy to ask a girl out, and her sisters convinced me that… she liked me, and it would be cool if I took her out on her birthday.”

Around 9PM it finally happened. “We kissed.”, says Andy. “It was probably a horrible kiss. The first one’s always pretty bad.”

“It was like a one kiss, and off kind of a deal.” How long did it take? “It was pretty awkward, it was like one of those stand on the front steps for half an hour… (shy teen voice) ‘So, did you like miniature golf? I got breath mints’”
