Martina McBride made her first appearance at the annual Stagecoach Festival in Southern California this year (“I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time” she says), and she captured a bit of the action in the exclusive Martina Moment video below.
Under the blazing Mojave desert sun, she performed a full set in front of thousands of fans. And as a special surprise, she also sang a duet with Sheryl Crow, covering the Linda Rondstadt number “You’re No Good.”
Crow called her a “badass,” and McBride, to her credit, didn’t disagree. “I’ve got my badass moments, yeah,” she told CBS Local in a recent interview.
As for the duet with Sheryl Crow, “That was her idea,” Martina explained. “She called a couple days before and asked if I’d come on stage and sing with her. She’s amazing. She’s not only a great artist, but a great person. So I was happy to do it.”
Watch a behind-the-scenes snapshot of Martina’s debut appearance at Stagecoach in the exclusive video below.
The video is part of the Martina Moments series of backstage views she posts occasionally on her website.
