Thomas Rhett, one of the stars of our Y108 8 Man Jam, is the son of ’90′s country star Rhett Akins.

Thomas tells Y108′s Jimmy and Monty that he and his dad share some common admirers. ”Well, it’s funny because there’s some of my fans that were ‘Rhett Necks’ back in the day. And the ‘Rhett Necks’ were my dad’s fan club when he was an artist. So, it’s funny to go to shows and see women who… bring a picture to my meet and greet of me and my dad when I was about 5 years old.” But, it’s not all nostalgia for Thomas.”There’s definitely a new batch of younger fans… that are more in my fan base than they were for my dad. It’s been a pretty funny ride.”
