Montgomery Gentry’s Acoustic Performance: Good Music, Great Fans, Cold Beer
The secret to success is simple: play a show for your biggest fans and make sure the beer is cold and stocked. At least, that’s what [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Montgomery Gentry[/lastfm] thought today as they took over McKoy’s Smokehouse in Charlotte.
Performing five acoustic songs to a lucky crowd at lunch, the boys bantered back and forth on important things. Like Charlotte, music, great food and beer. See some of the performance pictures and watch them perform two big hits!
To a crowd of nearly 100 lucky fans in Charlotte, today is a day to remember. It’s probably been years since [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Montgomery Gentry[/lastfm] saw an audience that small but it made the whole experience that much better. Fans young and old decked out in Gentry gear, waiting anxiously with cameras in hand as the guys came in for a lunch time rendez-vous.
How’s that for entertainment? They talked with the crowd a bit, even stopping the show mid song so Eddie could take a long swig of his beer. “Can we get some more beer?” He asked as he finished his first bottle only after a couple songs.
In fact, he let everyone know where his priories lay. He thanked Charlotte for the chance to play and thanked the bartender for an ice cold beer. Hey, we don’t blame you, Eddie!
