tracecivilwar Trace Adkins Wont Cut Hair Until Civil War Resolved

During the commencement of Tennessee’s sesquicentennial commemoration of the Civil War [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Trace Adkins[/lastfm] voiced the need for the truth about the Civil War to be finally recognized. Adkins voiced his disagreement with popular beliefs and what many believe to be historical falsehoods about why Southern states seceeded from the Union and waged war with the North.

Trace, who is an avid history buff, wants the record to be set straight that the Civil War was more about states rights than it was the issues of slavery and economic policy.

Adkins vowed not to cut his hair until the issues that remain years after the war are resolved, an act carried out by Confederate veterans to protest post war propaganda from the Northern press.

Trace is the author of: “A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Freethinking Roughneck”

Trace also was on TV discussing the civil war and states rights on Thursday evening. His great, great granddaddy fought in the civil war!
