    Cousin Carl claims Watkins Glen pole

    Sunday, we turn not only left but right too…

    …on the beautiful road course in Watkins Glen, NY.

    Carl Edwards won the pole, blowing away the rest of the field with a 70.882 lap at 124.432 MPH. That’s just .084 off Jeff Gordon’s all-time track record, set seven years ago. Jamie McMurray, at 123.814 MPH, sits alongside Edwards on the outside pole.

    ESPN will air the race Sunday at 1PM.
